Free 411 from your cell phone?

Dial from any phone 1-800-Goog-411 (1-800-466-4411). You will speak the city and state name (please be clear and loud since you are speaking to a voice recognition software, not a live person), then the business name (or type). Then it give you the matches and you can choose to directly connect to it, or speak “Details” to get street address and phone number.

Otherwise your cell phone provider usually charge $$ for each 411 call.
Simple idea and easy implementation. Maybe only Google has the cash to offer this free service. What’s the next? Maybe 15 seconds of ad before it connects you. Hey, Google, you killed a good small business opportunity of me!

This seems to be Google’s strategy - to get into everyone’s life as much as possible with its innovative ideas and abundant resource, and to roll out any possible competitions by offering free service.

I love Google … as long as it’s free.

(Maybe I should buy Google stocks now, so when any of these services is no longer free, I still benefit!)
